Our commitment

Smartware aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA across this website. Accessibility is part of how we design and build every page, and we keep improving it.

Accessibility tools

Select the accessibility button in the top bar of any page, or press Alt + A, to open the menu. If you allow functional storage in Cookie settings, your choices are remembered on this device; otherwise they last until you close the tab.

  • Text size: make text larger or smaller in steps, up to 140%.
  • Text spacing: add space between lines, words and letters.
  • Readable font: switch to a plain, highly legible typeface.
  • High contrast: strengthen the contrast of text and interface elements.
  • Grayscale: remove color from the page.
  • Highlight links: underline and outline every link and button.
  • Large cursor: show a bigger, high-visibility mouse pointer.
  • Reading guide: a horizontal guide that follows your pointer to help you keep your place.
  • Pause animations: stop movement, auto-playing carousels and decorative animation.
  • Read aloud: listen to the selected text or the main content of the page, where your browser supports speech.

Built-in support

  • Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a “Skip to content” link.
  • Pages use meaningful headings, landmarks and labels so screen readers can navigate them.
  • Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
  • If your device asks for reduced motion, animations are reduced automatically.
  • Layouts adapt to small screens and to browser zoom up to 200% without losing content.

Known limitations

  • The animated illustration at the top of the home page is decorative; the same message is given in text next to it.
  • Some documents, such as the downloadable company profile, may not yet be fully accessible. Contact us and we will provide the content in another format.
  • Client logos are images supplied by their owners; their names are provided as text alternatives.

Compatibility

The website is designed for current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. It is built with standard, semantic HTML so that it can be used with screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver and TalkBack.
